Tezos adds Google Cloud to its blockchain as a validator
Google Cloud has teamed with Tezos to serve as a validator on the network of proof-of-stake blockchains.
Tezos Foundation has partnered with Google Cloud to expedite the development of web3 apps on the Tezos blockchain. Google Cloud, the cloud branch of the search engine giant Google, has committed to act as a validator on the proof-of-stake blockchain Tezos as part of this agreement.
According to a release, the arrangements seek to enable Google Cloud’s business customers to create and deploy web3 apps on the Tezos blockchain utilizing Google’s cloud infrastructure.
Google Cloud will enable its enterprise clients to promote blockchain development by serving as a validator or “baker” on the Tezos network. In addition, certain Tezos-incubated firms will be eligible for Google Cloud credits and mentoring.
James Tromans, engineering director of web3 at Google Cloud, stated, “With Google Cloud, we’re offering safe and dependable infrastructure for Web3 founders and developers to create and expand their apps. We anticipate integrating the reliability and scalability of Google Cloud to Tezos to support Web3 apps.”
This is not Google Cloud’s first venture into blockchain technology. In September, it committed to operating a validator node on the gaming-centric Ethereum sidechain Ronin. A month later, it introduced a blockchain node hosting engine for Ethereum developers.
