Due to limited volume and traction, WazirX has announced the closure of its marketplace. The site also stated that there were just 71 distinct active wallets, 354 transactions, and a volume of around $112 in the previous month.
The platform has already been discontinued prior to Friday’s Twitter remarks. When the community found the message, they criticized the team for failing to maintain adequate communication.
WazirX artist Simran Hazra told BeInCrypto that she finds it “difficult to accept” that the platform ghosted them. With the WazirX NFT Marketplace, she collected INR 400,000 ($4,820) for Assam flood assistance.
Manish Patole, an NFT artist who has been on the platform from its inception, said to BeInCrypto that the staff was unaware of a Cloudflare problem on the website until the community brought it to their attention. Patole adds that the co-founders should participate in an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session.
NFT artist BusiBeast proposed that the WazirX team assist the platform’s users in becoming a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). He conducted a survey in which 77.5 percent of community members expressed interest in the DAO establishment.
Co-founder Shetty explained on Twitter that the platform’s closure is not a “rug pull” since NFTs are always in the possession of players. Some artists think that they have been abandoned.
