Chipotle is giving away $200K in cryptocurrency
The restaurant chain will distribute Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, and Dogecoin through an online game.
Chipotle, an American fast-casual food business, has launched an online game that allows consumers to win more than $200,000 in cryptocurrency.
Chipotle said on Monday that, until July 31, fans might use their rewards accounts to play its “Buy The Dip” game. Through the game, the organisation will distribute $45,000 in Bitcoin (BTC), $10,000 in Ether (ETH), $13,750 in Solana (SOL), $14,250 in Avalanche (AVAX), and $14,250 in Dogecoin (DOGE).
In April 2021, as part of a campaign for National Burrito Day, the restaurant chain handed away $1,000,000 in BTC. Chipotle said in June that its approximately 3,000 U.S. stores would accept 98 cryptocurrencies as payment through the digital payment service Flexa.
As the space expanded, other prominent U.S. fast food businesses have hosted similar crypto giveaways. Burger King teamed with Robinhood in November 2021 to give out BTC, ETH, and DOGE as part of consumers’ orders. McDonald’s China division launched a promotion for consumers to win 188 nonfungible tokens in honour of the company’s 31st anniversary. At the same time, Mcdonald’s U.S. operations submitted various trademark applications indicating an entrance into the Metaverse.
As a result of the crypto market’s extreme volatility, a large number of individuals have been purchasing Bitcoin price falls. Instead of after the campaign, Chipotle will distribute rewards depending on the exchange rate on the day of the award. ProShares, on the other hand, has recently begun to provide investment vehicles with exposure to shorting BTC, despite widespread rumours that a crypto winter has come.
