AMC Now Accepts Payment in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and These Popular Altcoins
After months of anticipation, movie theater behemoth AMC is now accepting Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other cryptocurrencies as a means of payment.
AMC CEO Adam Aron announced the announcement this morning on Twitter.
According to Aron, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum, and Litecoin may now be used to buy tickets and other AMC goods (LTC). Additionally, the chief executive notes that the popular meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) will be included next.

The statement follows months of speculation that AMC will soon accept cryptocurrency. Aron announced the entertainment giant’s decision to accept cryptocurrency for sales in a September tweet.
AMC announced in October that customers could purchase gift cards pre-loaded with DOGE. Then, only last week, Adam Aron conducted a Twitter poll to determine if AMC should adopt Shiba Inu, another dog-themed cryptocurrency (SHIB). The answer was overwhelmingly favorable.
While AMC is investigating SHIB as a payment method, the Dogecoin rival was conspicuously omitted from today’s statement.
