Orderly Network introduces Solana’s first omnichain orderbook

Orderly Network, a decentralized finance (DeFi) liquidity platform, has effectively launched its omnichain vault on Solana (SOL), as outlined to Finbold on Thursday, October 17.

“Orderly Unity” is the name of the new project that allows users of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and other networks to trade perpetual futures on the same orderbook.

The Solana integration is presently operational on the testnet, with the mainnet launch scheduled for November.

Orderly Unity emphasizes Orderly Network’s dedication to unified liquidity as the fundamental component of its decentralized finance (DeFi) model.

Solana’s integration into the ecosystem extends the blockchain’s network of interconnected trading platforms.

Users of Solana can now deposit assets on Orderly and engage in trades with counterparts on other Orderly-supported blockchains, all from the same orderbook.

It is of the utmost importance that the cross-chain functionality does not necessitate the transfer of funds from the SOL network.

The Orderly Unity integration is indicative of Orderly’s aspiration to create a DeFi ecosystem that enables users to trade assets across multiple platforms.

Due to its emphasis on capital efficiency and cross-netting capabilities, co-founder Ran Yi likened Orderly Unity’s function to that of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). Additionally, Yi stated:

“We’re thrilled to see Orderly become the first DeFi trading solution to bridge the gap between EVM and non-EVM users’ onchain perps trading in a single common orderbook. This is consistent with the charge forward of our protocol: Orderly Unity. Our objective is to establish an environment of trade without constraints and unify liquidity across all sectors.”

Orderly solidifies its status as a leader in cross-chain trading by executing all transactions on Orderly’s Chain and instituting asset repositories across various blockchains.

The platform’s trader-first approach is also evident in its expansion efforts, as Orderly is now integrated with prominent blockchains, including Arbitrum, Base, Mantle, Ethereum (ETH) Mainnet, Optimism (OP), and Polygon (MATIC).
