Binance celebrates its seventh anniversary with a new campaign and 200 million users

The chief marketing officer of Binance has stated that the milestone brings Web3 closer to its first billion users.

In another indication of the maturing digital asset industry, Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has reached its seventh anniversary.

Binance, which has built up a global user base of more than 200 million, has also initiated a new “Be Binance” campaign to mark its milestone.

The daily trading volume of Binance exceeds $25.3 billion, making it the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. This is more than seven times the size of the second-largest exchange, Coinbase, which has a daily transaction volume of $3.3 billion, according to CoinMarketCap data.

While Binance has already exceeded 200 million consumers, Rachel Conlan, the company’s chief marketing officer, contends that there is still significant potential for development.

Conlan stated to Cointelegraph that education will be instrumental in attracting the next generation of mainstream adopters:

“Number one, education and awareness-raising are crucial. Even if 200 million is a huge amount, there is a lot of room for expansion in our business and among our user base.”

In five years, the exchange acquired its initial 100 million users, and in an additional two years, it achieved 200 million. In the first half of 2024, Binance has attracted more than 30 million news consumers.

The celebratory campaign will provide users with a diverse selection of activities, such as in-person meet-ups, virtual events, social media contests, and impending promotions.

Additionally, the exchange will implement a series of giveaways through community channels such as Binance Square and social media. Users have the opportunity to earn a portion of the $7,000 prize pool for Binance’s BNB token and other merchandise by answering questions and sharing their Binance-related experiences.

19 countries, such as the United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand, Bulgaria, Spain, and Benin, will host in-person events to commemorate the milestone.

Conlan also stated that educational initiatives will continue to be a primary focus of the exchange: “At Binance, we are committed to continuing to educate individuals worldwide about the benefits of digital assets and the utility that crypto can provide by developing and distributing products that are both useful and appreciated.”
