XRP Ledger is now Gemini’s thirteenth-supported blockchain

The blockchain is the 13th network that the trading platform is compatible with. Ripple (XRP) trading in USD will launch first, followed by trading in GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, HKD, and SGD.

Cryptocurrency trading platform Gemini, founded by brothers Tyler and Cameron Wiklevoss, now supports XRP Ledger’s blockchain.

The blockchain is the 13th network that the market will now support. Ripple (XRP) trading in US dollars will launch before trading in British pounds, Euros, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, Hong Kong dollars, and Singapore dollars.

“Adding XRP Ledger to Gemini’s list of approved crypto networks is a significant milestone in our mission to unleash the next era of financial, creative, and personal freedom,” the business stated.

In addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum, Gemini also allows trading in Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Polkadot, Avalanche, Cosmos, Zcash, Filecoin, Dogecoin, and Tezos, all of which are blockchains supported by the platform.

Gemini has joined the ranks of other cryptocurrency exchanges, such as QuickNode, by introducing XRP Ledger functionality.

After years of litigation with the SEC, XRP Ledger and native token creator Ripple Labs scored a partial success in July when a court ruled that some XRP sales did not violate U.S. securities laws. The SEC said on Wednesday that it would be appealing the ruling.
