Vivek Ramaswamy claims that he informed Donald Trump of the dangers of CBDC

Concerned about the possible dangers to individual financial freedom posed by a Central Bank digital currency (CBDC), entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy voiced his worries on Wednesday.

In an interview with Bloomberg Television, he expressed his concern that a digital currency may give the government too much ability to freeze the assets of dissidents, as happened in China and with the Canadian truckers in the Freedom Convoy.

A central bank digital currency, in Ramaswamy’s view, poses a danger to American liberty because it gives the government the power to seize your money and bank accounts if you engage in activities or speak opinions that the government finds objectionable.

This follows Ramaswamy’s announcement that he would be endorsing former president Donald Trump and his decision to withdraw from the Republican presidential nomination race after his fourth-place showing in the Iowa caucuses.

After Trump publicly rejected a CBDC, Ramaswamy recounted his conversations with the president, applauding his honesty. “I explained that to Donald Trump and I give him a lot of credit for being intellectually open,” Ramaswamy said. “A period He reiterated his support for my stance on the subject, which is to reject the notion of a central bank-issued digital currency, last night while we were both at the demonstration. I noticed that he brought it up a few times after that.”

During a speech in Laconia, New Hampshire, earlier this week, Trump reaffirmed his opposition to the construction of CBDCs. Trump told the audience, “Vivek wanted this: I will never allow the creation of a Central Bank digital currency.”.

During a campaign visit in New Hampshire last week, Trump emphasized his dedication to safeguarding individual financial freedom by making his opposition to the United States establishing a CBDC very apparent.
