Visa Is Hiring College Students to Help Develop In-House Crypto Talent
Program members will acquire knowledge in areas such as DeFi, NFTs, stablecoins and CBDCs, according to the payment giant’s job description.
Visa (V) is encouraging undergraduate students to apply for its crypto development programme as the business seeks to build up its internal crypto expertise.
Visa’s Crypto Development Program is an 18-month rotational development programme “designed to establish a fully fluent cryptocurrency workforce today and for the future,” according to a job ad. “The programme supports Visa’s objective to establish a strong entry-level pipeline of talent with deep subject matter knowledge in the crypto space.”
Those hired as part of the programme will rotate on teams including Crypto Product, Crypto Solutions and Digital Partnerships and will build expertise in specific areas such as decentralised finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), stablecoins and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), the post said.
Last year, Visa started a worldwide crypto advising practise to assist financial institutions build their cryptocurrency operations as demand for crypto goods continues to increase.
Visa CEO Al Kelly recently questioned the eventual value of the sector at an investment conference, while stated the business intended to continue expanding out its crypto platform.
