Twitter Account of a Pro-XRP Lawyer Has Been Hacked
A Twitter account belonging to Jeremy Hogan, an attorney and well-known member of the cryptocurrency world, particularly among supporters of XRP, was compromised recently.
The hacker used Hogan’s account to publish a tweet in which they claimed to be in a giving mood and offered to return twice the value of any XRP tokens that were given to a certain wallet address.
In addition, the tweet included the wallet addresses for BTC and ERC20 tokens, and it said that the giveaway will only take thirty minutes to complete.
In recent years, similar hacks using Bitcoin that are blatantly fraudulent attempts were published on the Twitter accounts of both former and current US President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.
At the same time, Elon Musk, who serves as the CEO of Twitter at the present moment, put out a similar Tweet once again from his Twitter account, and as a result, thousands of crypto investors fell victim to the scam.
It’s interesting that this was posted on Jeremy Hogan’s hacked Twitter account so soon after the XRP case’s happy ending and the popularity of Hogan’s tweets.
