Trump thinks Musk won’t fit in his cabinet
Trump believes that Elon Musk is too preoccupied with the operation of his companies to serve as a member of his White House administration.
Donald Trump has recently expressed his belief that Elon Musk, the billionaire proprietor of Tesla and SpaceX, is not a suitable candidate for a position in his administration.
Despite Elon’s recent endorsement of Trump, Trump remains skeptical that Elon can effectively manage his businesses and serve as a member of his government team.
“He desires to participate. However, it is evident that he is responsible for managing substantial enterprises. I am uncertain that he would be able to tolerate serving in the ministry. I would certainly place him there; however, given the circumstances he is currently facing, is it advisable? I simply fail to perceive it.”
Trump’s statement appears to be an attempt to maintain a buffer between himself and Elon, particularly in the event that he prevails over Kamala Harris in the November election.
It is true that they are now friends, but not so long ago, they were publicly disparaging each other on social media and at rallies.
Elon has been increasingly involved in right-wing politics, and he even publicly endorsed Trump last month. This occurred immediately following the assassination attempt on President Trump.
Elon also assisted in the establishment of a pro-Trump super PAC in May, as if that were not enough. Conversely, Trump has resumed his use of X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk’s platform, following a period of preference for his own Truth Social.
Therefore, they are amicable at present; however, Trump is not inclined to offer Elon a substantive position within his administration.
It was not that long ago that Trump and Elon were verbally attacking each other. Presently, they are discussing the possibility of collaborating. It is an unexpected turn of events; however, that is the nature of politics.
Elon stated that he would be delighted to contribute to a “government efficiency commission” in the event that Trump secures an additional term. During the conversation with Trump on X, Elon stated, “I believe it would be fantastic.”
