Trump has about $250,000 worth of Ethereum in his possession

Former US President Donald Trump has Ethereum worth $250,000.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly owns $250,000 worth of Ethereum, according to a report by WatcherGuru, a well-known site offering information on cryptocurrencies and general finance.

Donald Trump and his immediate entourage are well-known crypto enthusiasts. The current probe seeks to learn whether or not the ex-leader broke the law in any way as a result of his dealings with cryptocurrency.

Trump Digital Trading Cards, a set of NFTs bearing his name, was approved by Trump in December 2022. The NFT’s price shot up when the endorsement was made public, eventually hitting an all-time high (ATH) of 0.84 ETH one day after the news broke. However, the value of Trump Digital Trading Cards dropped to 0.12 ETH, a loss of 85%, as the price of ether fell along with the rest of the cryptocurrency market.

Melania Trump, Trump’s wife, was also active in NFTs. She made and marketed NFTs of numerous iconic Apollo lunar landing photos from the 1960s and 1970s for $75 a pop. NASA officials were not pleased with this, since they claimed she had broken their guidelines by exploiting NASA imagery for NFTs.

Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are prohibited in any NASA merchandising applications since they do not fall within the recognised product categories for NASA to sell.

Trump’s possession of Ethereum, which is among the crypto tokens allowed by the authorities in the United States, may not suggest a breach of any laws. Ethereum is not on the SEC’s watch list of securities, and it was left out of their recent litigation against two cryptocurrency exchanges.
