Trident3 and LayerZero introduce P2P digital identity on more than 70 blockchains

T3id allows users to regulate the sharing of personal data on blockchain networks.

Trident3 has recently integrated LayerZero with the peer-to-peer digital identity solution T3id. Through LayerZero’s infrastructure, users will be able to rapidly identify themselves across more than 70 blockchains, facilitated by this collaboration.

“Peer-to-peer identity verification is a process that enables me to confirm the identity of the other party in a transaction or to confirm that I am receiving an email from a specific entity. I am only opening the email because it has been verified that it is indeed from that entity,” stated Steve Goldstein, CEO of Trident3, in an interview with Crypto Briefing. “The advantage of our collaboration with LayerZero lies in the seventy-plus blockchains that they collaborate with, and that’s before you even consider our data solution.”

The T3id is a non-fungible token (NFT) that is both unsellable and untransferable, thereby establishing a unique identity and tying it to a wallet. A “lock and mint” model will enable users to utilize the same identity across multiple blockchains. This model involves the securing of the original NFT in a smart contract and the minting of an equivalent on another network.

According to Simon Baksys, Vice President of Business Development at LayerZero Labs, the Trident3 initiatives to reduce on-chain threats and add an additional layer of digital identity are “a terrific use case.”

“One of the reasons we are collaborating here is that we are serious about reaching the consumer where they are.” In terms of digital identity, this entails the availability of the T3id token to all ecosystems and users who require and desire it, according to Baksys.

Goldstein emphasized that the T3id’s efficacy extends beyond security concerns, enabling entities to identify genuine users. In the interim, the NFT holders will have the ability to select the information they wish to share on-chain.

“The NFT is stored in the wallet, and the user selects their identity. Subsequently, the user determines the information they wish to submit in order to authenticate themselves.” Along with his driver’s license and passport, he may also include a picture. In order to verify his identity, he may upload any of these certificates, according to Goldstein.

Consequently, T3id attempts to resolve the digital identity issue by providing Web3 users with a seamless on-chain identification process. Additionally, it ensures their privacy by prohibiting the excessive sharing of information.
