The Terra Luna Classic Community fully endorses the primary proposal
The Terra Luna Classic community has made a substantial stride by endorsing a proposal to eradicate forked mainline modules from its blockchain.
The purpose of this decision is to improve the maintainability of LUNC, reduce technical debt, and more closely align with the Cosmos ecosystem. The speculation regarding LUNC’s potential to surpass $1 has increased as the fire date for TFL assets approaches.
Proposal 12142 received an overwhelming amount of support, with 99.97% of ballots in favor. This support was reflected in the robust community endorsement from validators and delegators such as Allnodes and Stakely.
Developers at OrbitLabs have observed that the risk of security vulnerabilities is increased by the maintenance of the extant forked versions, which not only increases operational costs but also increases the likelihood of missing updates.
The proposal delineates a two-phase implementation strategy. Updating the consensus engine and incorporating the most recent features from the Cosmos SDK to enhance security are the primary objectives of the initial phase. With the objective of minimizing disruptions and guaranteeing compatibility with extant smart contracts, the second phase of the Wasmd contract system upgrade is underway.
The Terra Luna Classic network is anticipated to make significant strides forward with the completion of the first phase, which is anticipated to take approximately eight weeks, and the subsequent ten-week second phase.
