Swiss company Relai buys $1.24M Bitcoin for Christmas

Founded in 2020, Relai is a self-custodial Bitcoin trading program that has garnered over 400,000 installations and prioritizes user control over funds.

The company, which is headquartered in Zurich, has recently gained attention for its user-friendly Bitcoin trading software. It is distinguished by its distinctive approach to self-custody and its commitment to assisting users in self-managing their crypto assets.

Relai has recently completed a Series A funding round, which was successful in raising $4 million. Ego Death Capital, a Bitcoin-exclusive venture capital firm, was the lead investor in the round, with Plan B Bitcoin Fund, Timechain, and Solit Group also contributing.

Expanding throughout Europe and obtaining licensing under the new MiCA regulatory framework will be the primary objectives of the new funds. Bitcoin is currently trading at $96,124, a 2.3% decrease from the previous day’s price.

Relai, a Swiss company established in 2020 by Julian Liniger and Adem Bilican, has experienced substantial growth to date, exceeding 400,000 downloads. The application enables users to acquire and dispose of Bitcoin in a timely and effortless manner, without the need for registration or deposits.

Additionally, Relai offers highly personalized assistance with substantial Bitcoin transactions and provides guidance through their relationship managers for all transactions. The corporation takes great pride in its “intuitive, seamless experience,” which encompasses exclusive content, webinars, and comprehensive education.

In 2024, Relai, a Swiss-licensed financial service provider, was one of the fastest-growing businesses in Europe and has a trading volume exceeding $500 million. Additionally, Switzerland’s top 50 firms are acknowledging the platform.
