Salman Khan will launch NFTs

BollyCoin is a non-fungible token marketplace that will auction the digital assets of the Hindi film industry. Following Amitabh Bachchan’s entrance into NFTs a month ago, Salman Khan and his siblings have declared their intention to get on the blockchain bandwagon as well.

Salman Khan seems to be unintentionally following in the footsteps of the great Amitabh Bachchan. Mr. Khan followed suit almost a month after Mr. Bachchan revealed intentions to launch his Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).

Salman tweeted: “Aa Raha hoon main, NFTs leke, Salman Khan Static NFTs coming to @bollycoin.” Arbaaz Khan, his younger brother, has also joined the site to sell his NFTs. “Arbaaz Khan Production NFTs are coming to @bollywcoin,” the younger Khan tweeted.”

BollyCoin is a non-fungible token marketplace that will auction the digital assets of the Hindi film industry. It would provide lovers and aficionados with digital art pieces from Hindi movies.

The marketplace’s website lists its partners as Arbaaz Khan Production, Sohail Khan Productionz, Salman Khan Films, and Reel Life Production Pvt Ltd (headed by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri).

A non-fungible token is a piece of data that is kept on a decentralized digital ledger known as a blockchain. Due to the fact that these tokens are not interchangeable, they are referred to as ‘non-fungible. The distributed ledger may be used to verify an NFT’s unique ownership.

In other words, if a fan purchases a digital poster of Salman Khan through a blockchain platform using an NFT, she may establish ownership via the digital ledger. If she continues to sell the ownership, the next owner’s name will be added to this digital record.

The NFT mania accelerated in March 2021, when digital artist Beeple sold an NFT for almost $69 million at Christie’s. Since then, celebrities have been attempting to monetize their brand via the sale of digital art through blockchain. This year, NFTs will enable the commodification of a variety of digital assets in the arts, film, sports, and music.
