Ron DeSantis steps down from the presidential race as an opponent of CBDC
Ron DeSantis has decided to step out of the presidential campaign, stating that he does not see a clear way to win in November.
In the run-up to the US presidential election in November, anti-CBDDC candidate and contender Ron DeSantis announced his withdrawal from the campaign.
While fighting for the freedom of people to use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, DeSantis has been an outspoken opponent of the federal government’s plan to embrace CBDC.
Protesting CBDCs, Ron DeSantis addressed his 2.2 million followers in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) in which he claimed to have exhausted all possible avenues, including cross-country trips, interviews, and other campaign events.
He has announced his retirement from the presidential run in advance of the planned November 5 election, despite his devotion, since he recognizes there is no clear road to victory.
However, he stresses to his large audience that the people of the United States have the capacity to influence their government’s policies. He urges children to speak out when they are unhappy with anything or when they see an activity that doesn’t satisfy them.
This makes two presidential candidates in recent years who have publicly supported cryptocurrency withdraw from the race.
After a disappointing fourth-place showing in Iowa, Vivek Ramaswamy decided to pull out of the race, according to BeInCrypto’s January 16 report.
The campaign by Ramaswamy stood out because it harshly criticized the SEC for its ambiguous stance on the regulation of cryptocurrencies.
“The tyrant’s buddy is ambiguity. The bright side is that the president of the United States can resolve this.”
