Robinhood Connect to permit access from external cryptocurrency accounts

Exodus and Phantom, two third-party wallets, will be the only ones initially capable of supporting the functionality.

On April 27, Robinhood made an announcement about a new feature that would let users use the trading platform’s cryptocurrency functionality from inside apps that are not affiliated with Robinhood.

According to the official press release issued by the business, the capability will first be included in two different cryptocurrency wallets, namely the Solana wallet Phantom and the Exodus multi-coin wallet. Robinhood has said that the capability would be made available via additional apps in the next months.

According to the press release issued by Robinhood, consumers will be able to utilize other decentralized applications (dApps) alongside Robinhood Connect and fill their Web3 wallets without having to enter into their Robinhood Crypto account. According to the release, customers will have the ability to access their Robinhood credentials and will be able to skip any extra processes.

According to two separate stories published by Fortune, the Connect function would reportedly provide customers with the ability to trade assets on Robinhood’s cryptocurrency market.

In January 2023, Robinhood introduced its non-custodial (or self-custodied) iOS wallet to a limited number of customers. Three months later, the company made the app available to a wider audience.
