Ripple Will Attend the Swell Conference in London
The San Francisco-based FinTech company Ripple, which marked its tenth anniversary on Thursday, October 20th, is bringing its annual Swell conference to London in November, and it is promoting its brand by posting advertisements in London’s two financial areas.
Ripple, a platform that leverages blockchain technology to enable “global financial institutions, corporations, governments, and developers to transport, manage, and tokenize value,” celebrated its 10th-anniversary last week. At the most recent All Hands meeting, the Ripple team celebrated the company’s birthday, according to CEO Brad Garlinghouse.
This week, Ripple is at the Money20/20 USA conference in Las Vegas (October 23-26, 2022): James Wallis, Ripple’s vice president of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), presented at a session entitled “Money Reimagined in the Age of CBDCs” yesterday (October 24).
Last November, the UK’s new prime minister Rishi Sunak (who was serving as Chancellor of the Exchequer at the time) said about CBDCs: Swell Global, “Ripple’s annual flagship event,” will be held in London on November 16-17, 2022.
