James Bond’s 007′ franchise joins the NFT revolution

Fans will be able to purchase items inspired by the new film only through the VeVe app, including a glider and Safrin’s Mask.

VeVe, the world’s largest mobile-first digital collectibles platform, has partnered with leading entertainment company Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios (MGM) to launch a series of No Time To Die (NFTs) from the iconic James Bond franchise, specifically the first-ever digital collectibles for the upcoming film “No Time To Die.”

The abbreviation is NFT.

According to a statement shared with CryptoSlate, fans will be able to purchase collectibles inspired by the new film, such as a glider and Safrin’s Mask, only through the VeVe app, which is available on the App Store and Google Play. The release date for the first batch of James Bond NFTs will be revealed shortly.

“As one of the longest-running and most popular film franchises of all time, James Bond continues to evolve and innovate to suit the needs of our committed global audiences,” MGM Chief Marketing Officer Stephen Bruno noted. “We are excited to collaborate with VeVe to create the first-ever digital collectible from ‘No Time To Die,’ providing fans with an unprecedented opportunity to own a piece of cinematic history,” he added.

While many of the facts surrounding the NFT drops remain unknown, future drops of digital treasures from the James Bond franchise will contain other iconic items from the film “No Time To Die.”

“As fans of Bond, the film franchise’s legacy, and its ongoing global impact, we couldn’t be happier to introduce a selection of Bond digital treasures to VeVe and our enthusiastic collector community,” said Dan Crothers, VeVe’s Chief Operating Officer, and Co-Founder.

Through the VeVe platform, enthusiasts can showcase their digital collections in enormous 3D dioramas in the app’s virtual showrooms, as well as virtually visit, comment on, and like other collectors’ showrooms. Additionally, VeVe includes an augmented reality (AR) photo mode that enables collectors to engage with each digital collection in three dimensions and share them via VeVe’s in-app social feed or external social platforms.

Additionally, VeVe utilizes Ethereum’s layer 2 scaling mechanism, Immutable X, which results in a 99.9% reduction in environmental impact.
