According to Indian police, the suspect was apprehended in a coordinated operation on Wednesday, February 19, near Sector 43 in Gurugram. Authorities said he was residing in a leased guest house in Delhi’s Saket neighborhood. He was caught on a tip-off from regional sources that he was carrying out clandestine operations.

According to Indian officials, the suspect possessed around 2.7 grams of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) narcotics disguised as children’s tattoo stickers. A top official was present when the seizure occurred, according to the statement.
According to Sub-Inspector Karamjit, who oversees the Anti-Narcotics Cell section, the suspect admitted to receiving the narcotics via a website called Bioness, which he accessed using the Tor browser. The authorities stated that, according to Shahbaz, the payment option on the website was cryptocurrency, implying that the drug ring used the assets to conceal the sale and transit of illicit substances.
According to the authority, the medicines resemble a stamped ticket and may pass through most scanners unnoticed. He said that criminals may have used this to carry out their crimes unnoticed for years. The official further stated that the medication is typically taken orally, with users applying it to their tongues to generate psychedelic effects.
According to a case officer, there have been several examples of Indian youngsters taking LSD during rave events, which are popular in different locations. “LSD is extensively used in the United States, Russia, and Europe, and we are witnessing a growing trend in India as well,” he stated.

According to Indian officials, an FIR was filed against the suspect at the Sushant Lok police station under Section 22(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. With investigations still underway, officials will keep Shahbaz in jail while they work to arrest his collaborators both locally and overseas.
“Shahbaz has worked as a photographer in Delhi for the last year. He has been remanded to four days in police custody, and we are questioning him about his overseas links,” Karamjit said.
