Google and Bakkt Partner to Bring Google Pay to Cryptocurrency Users

Bakkt enters into yet another collaboration in order to broaden bitcoin payment possibilities. This time, the partnership is with Google Cloud.

Bakkt, a digital asset marketplace, has collaborated with Google to increase cryptocurrency’s usability. As a result, customers will soon be able to immediately link their Bakkt Visa Debit Card to Google Pay.

Google Pay Crosses Paths With The Bakkt Card

According to a BusinessWire news release, customers will soon be able to spend Bakkt Card crypto money directly through Google Pay. Following the launch of Bakkt’s Visa Debit Card earlier this year, consumers will now be able to conduct transactions using digital assets everywhere Google Pay is accepted.

When this occurs, the procedure converts cryptocurrency to fiat cash effortlessly before they arrive in the recipient’s account. This enables the effective use of digital assets to pay for common items both online and in-store.

Additionally, Bakkt will promote its services to top US retailers and merchants via Google Cloud as its preferred cloud provider.

Additionally, Bakkt will leverage cloud-based technologies to integrate additional analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning capabilities onto its platform. Bakkt customers may use these statistics as a kind of loyalty redemption. Simultaneously, business partners may utilize them to detect critical customer behavior trends.

Gavin Michael, CEO of Bakkt, sees the latest cooperation as a sign of his company’s success: “This cooperation demonstrates Bakkt’s leadership position in the digital asset industry, enabling customers to access and use their digital assets in a real-time, safe, and dependable way. Additionally, working with Google Cloud enables us to continue developing a best-in-class, innovative platform capable of unquestionably scaling to meet the requirements of millions of people.”

Bakkt Accelerates Crypto Adoption

This latest collaboration is just one of Bakkt’s several efforts to increase bitcoin use cases in the United States. The business collaborated with Quiznos in August to trial Bitcoin payments at select Quiznos locations in Denver.

Additionally, the group partnered with Starbucks following the April introduction of the Bitcoin app. Since then, Starbucks customers may use the app to recharge their cards.

Google Cloud has also been assisting. Recently, the business teamed with Dapper Labs — the inventors of the Top Shot NFT marketplace – to assist in scaling the latter’s blockchain.
