Elon Musk is offering 1,000,000 Dogecoin (DOGE)
Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, has offered to give away 1 million Dogecoin (DOGE) to anyone who can provide evidence of the existence of a rumored emerald mine belonging to his family.
A Dogecoin designer maintained that Elon Musk never owned an emerald mine and offered 69,420 DOGE to any media outlet that could provide evidence of its existence. Musk responded by upping the stakes, offering a staggering 1 million Dogecoin for the same evidence.
Since 2014, rumors have circulated that the Musk family possessed an emerald quarry in Africa. In a now-deleted interview with Forbes, Elon Musk may have confessed that his father owned such a mine in Zambia. However, the article itself has been erased, and only the web archive page remains.
It is unknown whether the rumor that Musk’s family possesses the mine is accurate, but it is evident that the entrepreneur is eager to put the matter to rest.
Regardless of his motivations, the generous reward sparked the interest of cryptocurrency enthusiasts and treasure hunters. It remains to be seen whether anyone will be able to provide Musk with the evidence he seeks, but one thing is certain: the hunt for the mysterious emerald mine has begun.
