Cardano vastly outperformed Ethereum, Polygon, and seven other cryptos on a single metric in 2022

Santiment, a platform for crypto analytics, has shown that Cardano (ADA) surpassed all other blockchain protocols on a crucial statistic in 2022.

According to Santiment, Cardano had the most development activity in the crypto industry in 2022, surpassing Ethereum (ETH) and other blockchain technologies.

Cardano had 2,434 more commits on the software development hosting site GitHub than Polkadot (DOT), which has the second-highest development activity among blockchain protocols.

In 2022, Polkadot accumulated 2,065 Github contributions, while Cosmos Hub (ATOM) accumulated 1,622 Github commits.

In 2022, Ethereum saw the fourth-highest level of development activity with 1,485 Github contributions, while scaling solution Polygon (MATIC) ranked tenth with 526 Github commits.

The crypto analytics platform has previously said that a high level of development activity is positive for a blockchain protocol since it indicates that new features will be released or that developers are confident in the protocol’s success.

Santiment reports that Aptos development activity was intense before its October debut, but that the pace has dropped since then. According to the crypto analytics website, Solana’s (SOL) development activity is “still strong” but has declined dramatically in 2022.

Aptos has been putting in long hours in preparation for the mainnet, but has been taking it easy since then.
