Cardano Meme Coin SNEK Declares New Achievement in Gaming
Popular Cardano-based meme currency SNEK has introduced its newest gameplay innovation. This happens just over two months after the meme currency based on Cardano debuted its branded energy drink.
The launch of Snek’s Snake game was mentioned in a recent tweet. Paima, Vacuum Labs, and Anvil collaborated on the game’s development, drawing inspiration from the well-known snake game for Nokia phones. In the Snek ecosystem, it will be the first play-to-earn game.
Currently, the game is only playable on desktop computers, although the Snek team has hinted that a mobile version might be released around 2024. In honor of the game’s release, Snek has announced that, from now until February 1st, the prize pool will be increased by 69 ADA daily.
The innovative Snek gaming platform showcases the Cardano blockchain’s gaming and entertainment capabilities via its usage of wrapped smart contracts.
On December 16, 2023, the price of SNEK reached an all-time high of $0.002246, propelled by favorable changes that have happened in the last several months. During the last 30 days, the value of one SNEK token has increased by 319%, reaching $0.001271.
For DeFi, NFTs, and other token-based applications, Cardano has a quickly expanding ecosystem of decentralized apps.
In the same way, Paima Studios co-founder Sebastien Guillemot has dropped hints about future decentralized applications (dApps) that will use the soon-to-be-launched Cardano and Arbitrum.
To make deterministic state machines usable by any app, Paima Engine transforms them into L2s that can link to various chains like Cardano and Arbitrum. This paves the way for the future of Arbitrum as a gaming platform, where players may hold their NFTs on Cardano if they like.
Regarding updates, it is anticipated that the Chang hard fork will commence the bootstrapping stage of the Cardano governance model in 2024. Next year, Cardano will also make significant strides towards achieving complete community governance.
