Australians will hold the first Bitcoin-linked card from Visa

Australians will shortly be able to spend their Bitcoin from the visa card. The fresh card will be named as a “zero-balance card,” an Increase in Global spending on crypto-linked Visa cards.

According to the Australian Financial Review report, the global payment giant will continue linking with regional fintech app CryptoSpend. For the first time, Australians shall use Visa cards in order to pay with their Bitcoin.

CryptoSpend will help payment to be made in many cryptocurrencies to any account in the Australian banking system, as well as getting the receiver with the same amount of fiat currency. In order to pay vendors in fiat, the value will bring directly from the value of the Bitcoin in the wallet because Australian dollars will have inconsistent value with Bitcoin. The fresh card will be named as “zero-balance card,”

An announcement is expected by Visa later this week that Novatti, the Australian company will deliver the card, and be available in September.

In the prior six months of 2021, the company noted that more than US$1 billion worth of crypto was paid on its network which resulted in an increase in global spending on crypto-linked Visa cards. In order to allow customers to pay cryptocurrencies, 70 million dealers around the world the company has linked with almost 50 crypto platforms, such as Coinbase, Crypto.com, and FTX.
