According to Elon Musk, the company X “will never” issue a crypto token

Elon Musk has said that company X, which was once known as Twitter, would “never” release its own cryptocurrency token.

Elon Musk responded to a question on the social media platform that he controls by stating that the company that was once known as Twitter would “never” develop its own cryptocurrency coin.

This comment was made by Musk in reaction to a caution issued by the user @cb_doge, who cautioned users not to fall for fraudulent tokens or memecoins posing as legitimate X-sanctioned crypto projects — or news stories addressing them. Musk’s reply was made in response to the warning.

When one user claimed that “Elon Musk and X never created a crypto token,” Musk simply answered, “And we never will.”

Some may not be surprised to see that several low-cap tokens have been created with names referencing X, Twitter, or Musk, such as X/TWITTER, ELON BUYS TWITTER (EBT), CryptoTwitter (CT), TWITTERDOGE (TDOGE), and many more.

Dogecoin, the major memecoin, has been intimately tied with Musk himself for a  very long time. The owner of X once altered the logo of what was then known as Twitter to that of Dogecoin, which resulted in a 27% increase in the price of the currency at the time.
