Blocksquare has launched its most recent Marketplace Pool for Real-World Asset (RWA) investments, which marks a significant milestone by tokenizing a tequila distillery. The swift success of previous Oceanpoint campaigns, which sold out in under 36 hours, serves as the foundation for this initiative. Rancho Altos, Blocksquare’s most recent endeavor, is an initiative that combines real estate development with tequila distillation in Jalisco, Mexico.
Rancho Altos is significant for its integration of conventional tequila production with innovative real estate development. In Jalisco, which is renowned for its exceptional blue agave cultivation conditions, the initiative spans 82 hectares. It encompasses a farm-to-table restaurant, a wellness center, upscale villas, and eco-tourism amenities, in addition to a state-of-the-art distillery.
Currently, a small number of distilleries dominate the tequila market, which is estimated to reach $18.6 billion by 2032 and is valued at $11.7 billion. Rancho Altos intends to expand this market to retail investors who have previously had restricted access.
