Trump is likely to go to the Bitcoin 2024 convention in Nashville next month

Alongside politicians such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Vivek Ramaswamy, former President Donald Trump is currently in discussions to deliver a speech at the Bitcoin 2024 convention in Nashville in July.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump is currently in the process of negotiating to participate in the Bitcoin 2024 convention in Nashville in July, where he will be joined by other prominent political and industry figures.

Trump is currently in negotiations to attend the event, which is scheduled to take place from July 25–27, according to a recent report by Axios. Bitcoin Magazine is the host of the convention, which is one of the greatest gatherings in the cryptocurrency space and will include several distinguished speakers.

The event organizer, Bitcoin Magazine, has not yet verified Trump’s attendance. However, the report reported that two sources who are knowledgeable about the matter disclosed the ongoing discussions.

This event occurs in the context of growing political interest in cryptocurrency, as Trump has recently expressed his strong support for Bitcoin and criticized President Joe Biden’s approach to crypto regulation.

Trump’s prospective speech at the event could be perceived as a substantial step in his campaign to secure the support of the crypto community in anticipation of the forthcoming elections.

During a fundraising occasion in San Francisco, the former president expressed his intention to become the “crypto president.” David Sacks, the general partner of Craft Ventures, and tech magnate Chamath Palihapitiya served as co-hosts of this event.

Trump allegedly reiterated his dedication to the cryptocurrency sector during the event, indicating that he was prepared to advocate for the industry’s growth. Additionally, he issued a warning regarding the Democratic Party’s purported proclivity for restrictive regulations.

A report from TD Cowen suggested that Trump may revert to being a crypto skeptic if elected, despite his recent pro-crypto stance.

The report posited that the statements made about crypto during the first presidential debate of the 2024 election would be a significant indicator of his prospective regulatory approach.

“Any suggestion of anything less than complete support from [Trump] might lead to further concerns that he may return to his skeptical stance from his first term if re-elected,” the study claimed.
